Born Sept. 16, 1927, in New York City, daughter of the late Joseph and Connie DeMato, she moved from Toms River, N.J., to the Clarks Summit area in 2012 to be closer to her family. She began her career as a medical secretary in New York City and later was a sales representative for Norman Harvey Furniture, New York, and retired from West Babylon High School food service department.

She was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Carbondale.

She was devoted to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed fashion and was beautiful in her appearance. She was an avid shopper.
