William Francis Floyd, 70, of Glenburn died Sunday at home. Bill was married to the former Dolores Wesolowski for more than 51 years. Born April 3, 1945, in Scranton, son of the late John F. and Viola Bell (Demming) Floyd, he was a lifelong resident of Glenburn and a 1963 graduate of Abington Heights High School. He was employed as a foreman by Scranton Wilbert Vault Co. and formerly worked for Keystone Memorial Vault Co. for more than 25 years. He was a member of Abington Memorial VFW Post 7069, Clarks Summit.A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent much of his time "fixing" things. He adored his grandchildren and especially enjoyed playing with them. He was kind to others, always willing to lend a helping hand. His gentleness will be sadly missed.Also surviving are two sons, Richard Allen and wife, Chrise, Forest Hill, Md.; and David John and Tammy Franklin, Forest Hill; four grandsons, Bradley, Matthew, Noah and Kevin; three granddaughters, Jacqueline, Samantha and Jordyn; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert Floyd.The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit, with a blessing service by the Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Clarks Summit. Interment, Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton. The family will receive relatives and friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to service time.Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Snows Parish, 301 S.
