Sally A. Bambach, 86, of South Abington Township, died peacefully on Monday at home. She was the wife of the late Roland G. Bambach, Jr. who passed away on September 17, 2003. The couple was married on August 4, 1956.
Born October 16, 1935 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Margaret (Swepeniser) Karampilas. She earned a business degree from Lackawanna Business College and worked as a legal secretary until she retired at the age of 80 for Minora Law Offices.
Sally was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was proud of all their accomplishments.
Surviving are two daughters: Lynn Sansky and son-in-law, Charles Sansky, Clarks Summit, and Lori Langan and son-in-law, Dr.Thomas Langan, Clarks Summit; brother; Ted Karampilas, Scranton; two granddaughters, Heather Sansky Mansour (Paul), Key West, Florida; and Amber Sansky Sweeney (Daniel), Clarks Green. Also five grandsons, Dr. Thomas Langan, Jr. (Kristen), Dr. Brendan Langan (Jillian), Dr. Kevin Langan (Gianna), Dr. Colin Langan, and Nathan Langan, all of Clarks Summit. Also 14 great grandchildren: Samuel, Sophia, Olivia, Alexandra, Stella, and Penelope Mansour; Daniel and Charles Sweeney; Thomas III, Emma; twins, Claire and Fiona, Josie; and Kira Langan. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert McCarthy, Jr., Steven Karampilas, Jr., and John Karampilas.
The funeral service will be private and will be rendered by Pastor George J. Matthews, Jr.
