Patricia Dee Williams Casimir, 39, Clarks Summit, died Monday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She and her husband, Dr. Fitzgerald Casimir, married Jan. 1, 1999.
Born Oct. 9, 1974, in Queens, N.Y., daughter of Samy and Marguerite Williams of Miami, Fla., Patricia was a graduate of Coral Gables Senior High School, Coral Gables, Fla., class of 1992. She received her bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Florida in 1996. After college, Patricia worked as a financial consultant at Carnegie Mellon Bank. When her first son was born, she became a full-time stay-at-home mom and a perennial parent volunteer.
Patricia and her family recently relocated to Clarks Summit from Gainesville, Fla. Her husband recently joined Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, as a trauma surgeon.
Also surviving are two sons, Samuel Casimir, age 12; and Joshua Casimir, age 10; parents, Samy and Marguerite Williams, Miami, Fla.; and a sister, Carine Williams, New York City. Patricia was also a beloved niece, aunt, godmother, cousin, friend and mentor.
The family will receive relatives and friends today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
The funeral service will be Thursday at Stanton Memorial Baptist Church, 50 NE 119th St., North Miami, Fla.
Patricia believed that education is a gift, which always keeps giving. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Casimir Educational Fund, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 23rd Floor, New York, NY 10112, to the attention of Carine Williams.
