Miriam F. Zielinski

Miriam (Ferber) Zielinski, 89, of Clarks Summit, died on Monday, May 2, in Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Facility, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Zielinski who died in August of 2018.  The couple was married since January 29, 1966.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Kathryn (Gillespie) Ferber.

Miriam attended Cathedral grade school and was a 1950 graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She was employed as a supervisor for Bell Telephone.

Miriam’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for its kind and loving care.

Surviving are two sons: Joseph Zielinski and Michael Zielinski of Clarks Summit, one daughter: Janet Healey and husband James of S. Abington Twp., grandchildren: Megan, Erin, James, and Kathryn Healey, Madison and Corryne Zielinski.

The funeral will be on Saturday, May 14, at 10am from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, PA 18411, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor.  Interment Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 8-9:30am at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
