Michael Nalevanko

Michael Albert Nalevanko, 48, Minneapolis, formerly of Waverly Twp., died May 1 at home.

He was the son of Dr. Albert M. and Mary L. Nalevanko, of Waverly Twp.

He was a graduate of Abington Heights High School, studied at Carrabassett Valley Academy, Maine, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Fort Lewis College, Colorado. His work in sales allowed him to travel and to meet new people who he truly enjoyed.

Michael loved music and his appreciation spanned diverse genres. He had a deep respect for nature and found peace spending time outdoors, whether it be skiing through fresh powder snow, golfing with his father or fly fishing in a quiet stream.

He will be missed by many including his cherished dog, Sunjay.

Also surviving are a sister, Kathryn Austin and her husband, Tom, Sudbury, Mass.; godson and nephew, Thomas; nephew, Andrew; a niece, Caroline; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Margaretta (Fadden) Nalevanko; and maternal grandparents, Atty. Joseph and Catherine (Speicher) Marzzacco.

A private memorial Mass to be celebrated by the Rev. John M. Lapera at the convenience of the family at Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, PA 18411. Private interment will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Olyphant.
