The family of Marilyn M. (Costa) Tully, 86, of Scranton, is beyond heartbroken to announce the death of their mother on Monday, one day after her 86th birthday, in Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was the wife of the late Ronald L. Tully.
Born September 17, 1937 in Scranton, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marion (Wargo) Costa.
She earned her Bachelors in Science from Marywood University and worked as a social worker for the Agency on Aging.
Marilyn was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her and she meant everything to them. She was very loved and will be forever missed. She will always be in the hearts of those who loved and cared for her.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli for his kind and compassionate care for Marilyn for many years.
Surviving are two daughters: Cyndy Schoenberg of Waverly Township, and Pam (Al) Phillips of Nicholson, grandchildren, Summer (Mark) Frisco, Alexa (Hunter) Bravis, Becca Schoenberg; Logan Phillips; great grandchildren, Carmine, Adrian, and Giovanni Frisco and Banks Bravis.
She was preceded in death by son in law, Bruce Schoenberg.
There will be a private entombment in Cathedral Cemetery.
