Lynn Mitchell

Lynn L. (Zawicki) Mitchell, 58, of South Abington Twp., died Thursday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of James Edward Mitchell. The couple had been married for 14 years. Born March 4, 1957, in Scranton, she was the daughter of Barbara (Burzon) Zawicki, South Abington Twp., and of the late Leonard Zawicki. Lynn was a lifelong resident of South Abington Twp. and a 1975 graduate of Abington Heights High School. She had been employed at McLane Distribution, Jessup, as a break-pack selector and also waitressed at her sister's and brother-in-law's Glenburn Grill and Bakery Restaurant. She enjoyed serving others and sharing a friendly smile and a little humor. Lynn always maintained a strong work ethic.She was devoted to her family, a loving wife, a caring daughter and loving mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved spending as much time with them as possible. She enjoyed spending time with her family preparing for the holidays and gift giving. Lynn was selfless and always considerate of others. Her gentle kindness will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.Also surviving are two sons, John Lipisko, South Abington Twp.; Corey Lipisko and wife, Julie, Lititz; a daughter, Raegan Madison, Gunninson, Colo.; a sister, Linda Norsen and husband, Alan, owners of the Glenburn Grill and Bakery; six grandchildren, Ashley, Molly, MJ, Jack, Leah and Kara; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Lynn's wishes, funeral services will be private. Interment at Jermyn Cemetery, Jermyn. Arrangements are entrusted to the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
