Louise A. (Breward) Zacker, 88, Scranton, died Wednesday in Allied Services Hospice Center. She was the wife of Joseph Zacker, to whom she was married for 60 years.
Born on March 14, 1930, in Scranton, daughter of the late Josiah and Margaret (Cunningham) Breward, she graduated from Scranton Technical High School. Louise worked for many years as a seamstress and retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot. In their retirement, she and her husband worked in maintenance at Advanced Textile Composites in Scranton.
Louise enjoyed reading and watching Fox News.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband, Joseph, are two sons, David J. (Juliette), Scranton, and James A. Zacker, Mount Cobb; and eight grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Paul and Dana Michael Zacker; a daughter, Lisa Marie Thompson; and three sisters, Lila Breward, Margaret Mary Breward and Alicia Dunlop.
A graveside funeral liturgy will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Primitive Methodist Cemetery, Dickson City, to be celebrated by the Rev. Eric Bergman, pastor of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish.
