Lois Adele (Bockelkamp) Deutsch, 76, Falls, died Thursday in the VNA Hospice Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Albert Deutsch, who died April 2, 2010. The couple had been married more than 42 years.Born July 17, 1937, in Scranton, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Oschmann) Bockelkamp, she moved to Falls in 1968 and formerly lived in Scranton. She was a 1955 graduate of West Scranton High School, where she was active in the choral and drama club. After high school, she worked at Scranton Gas & Water. She was later a telephone operator and executive secretary for Bell Telephone, before becoming a homemaker and raising her family. In later years, she worked for Florey Insurance, Clarks Summit.Lois loved spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed the happy times with her grandchildren poolside in the summer. She liked the outdoors and the time spent by her garden.Surviving are three sons, Alan and wife, Holly, Factoryville; Jeffrey, Falls: Douglas and wife, Kelly, Falls; a daughter, Kara and husband, Greg Stunzenas, Dingmans Ferry; a brother, Arthur Bockelkamp and wife, Joanne, Dalton; a granddaughter, Alexia Deutsch; two grandsons, Alan Joshua and Arik Deutsch; a niece, Heidi Bockelkamp; and a nephew, Richard Bockelkamp.The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. from the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Barbara J. Snyder, New Hope Trinity Charge. Interment, Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Twp.
