Judith Ann Coppola

It is with the deepest regret that we announce the passing of Judith Ann Coppola, 82, of Nicholson on February 13, 2025 at her home surrounded with love by her family. She was the wife of Charles E. Coppola; they were married for 59 years.

Judy was born on December 7, 1943 in Milford, CT. She was the third of four children to late Charles and Doris (Wiesel) Myers. She lived the majority of her life in Northeastern PA but also lived for a time in San Antonio, TX; Anaheim, CA; Albany, GA and Green Bay, WI.

Judy graduated from Abington Heights High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era, achieving the rank of A1C and was honorably discharged in July of 1967. She spent her entire enlistment on Lackland Airforce Base in Texas and met her future husband there.

From the beginning of her marriage, Judy worked outside the home along with taking care of her family and raising two daughters. She worked in several supermarkets in the area, in restaurants, and was the manager of the Turkey Hill Store in Nicholson for several years. But more than anything, she supported her husband and helped him tremendously in his career.

She enjoyed trips to the casino, card nights at her home, playing the lottery and bingo at many locations around the area. She especially loved the all-day bingo games at the Factoryville Fire Co. After the passing of her mother, Judy assumed the responsibility of caretaker for her brother, Robert, and continued handling that responsibility until she passed. She enjoyed the little things that life gave her, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Jill Worthington and husband John, and Joan Coppola, Meshoppen; a brother Robert Myers, Nicholson; sister Verna Nealon, Chinchilla; Grandchildren; Kayla Bonavita and husband Joe, Stem, NC, Michael Marks, Nicholson; Rachel Hallock and partner Jeremy, Nanticoke and three great grandchildren, Julia, Madison and Amelia.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Philip Myers.

At Judy’s request, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family and announced at a later date.
