Joan Robinson Durkin

Joan Robinson Durkin, wife of Frank J. Durkin for 58 years, and daughter of the late Veronica Robinson, died on November 26, 2023. 

She was a kind and compassionate woman who truly loved her family.  Prior to retirement, she was employed by Marywood University. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Colleen Durkin Vallet and sons Keith F. and Clifford P., sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elaine and Jim Dougherty, cousin Barbara Sabo, as well as seven grandchildren. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 am at Mary, Mother of God Church, 316 William Street, Scranton.  The family will receive relatives and friends from 9am to 9:50am at the church.  Burial will be private at Dunmore Cemetery.
