Helen Miluszusky

Helen Josephine Baron Miluszusky, 99, of South Abington Twp., died Monday at Forest City Nursing Home & Rehab Center, where she recently was admitted. She was the widow of William Raymond Miluszusky, who died Oct. 12, 1995. The couple was married more than 57 years.

Born Sept. 30, 1917, in Nanticoke, daughter of the late John and Agnes Poremba Baron, Helen retired from Ames Manufacturer ILGWU Union, where she worked as a sewing operator for more than 30 years, and was a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a member of St. Gregory Parish, Clarks Green.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed current events and politics. She was proud to have met President Donald Trump. Helen was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing and making clothing for her family. An excellent cook, she enjoyed family gatherings where no one left hungry. She enjoyed dancing, especially polkas. There is comfort in knowing she is reunited with her husband and may be dancing with him. Her gentleness and smile will be sadly missed.

Surviving are a son, William J. Miluszusky and wife, Barbara, Forest, Va.; two daughters, Rose Marie Shamro, Clearwater, Fla.; and Bernadine McVeigh, South Abington Twp.; a brother, Edward Baron and wife, Josephine, Elmira, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by son, Robert Miluszusky; sons-in-law, Albert C. Shamro and John F. McVeigh; five brothers, Alexander and Leonard Baron, Stanley, John and Joseph Novak; and five sisters, Mary Zugarek, Eva Kulakosky, Sophie Shypuleski, Louise Mrozrowski and Viola Kulesza.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, to be celebrated by the Rev. Seth D. Wasnock. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows, Finch Hill.

The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday at the church from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , P.O.
