George Ryan Campbell, 57, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2018, at his home in Clarks Green surrounded by his loved ones. George was the husband of Marion Hillmann Campbell.
He was born on Dec. 21, 1960, in West Orange, N.J., to Rita (Ryan) and the late Robert Campbell. He graduated from West Orange High School and later attended Rowan College in New Jersey. By profession, he was an accomplished chef and real estate appraiser. He enjoyed working out at the local YMCA, eating good food, meeting new people; but most of all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; his three children, Ryan Patrick (Julia), of Clarks Green; Kristin Leigh, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Nicole Ann, of Clarks Green. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Abraham August Campbell and Grant Patrick Campbell; as well as his mother, Rita Ryan Campbell, of Bradley Brach, N.J.; and seven brothers, Robert (Tracey), of Wall, N.J.; Stephen (Pamela), of Atlanta, Ga.; Christopher (Elizabeth), of Lake Canandaigua, N.Y.; Thomas, of Charlotte, N.C.; Joseph (Alyssa), of West Orange, N.J.; Francis Campbell, of West Orange, N.J.; and Johnny (Megan), of Oxford; and 22 nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his father, Robert Campbell.
He was a man who lived to connect with folks; and he did so on an incredibly human level.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411, to be celebrated by Father John M. Lapera, pastor.
