Elizabeth "Betty" (Carr) Kellam, 95, Clarks Summit, died Friday in Clarks Summit Senior Living. She was the widow of David D. Kellam, who died June 6, 1992.Born Dec. 2, 1919, in Scranton, she was the only child of the late Arch W. and Mabel (Sykes) Carr. She was a 1938 graduate of Clarks Summit High School and attended Marywood College. She formerly was employed by Commonwealth Telephone as an office supervisor and retired from Clarks Summit borough, where she was secretary to the borough manager. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir, Esther Circle, crafters and the Women's Society. She had served on the administrative board of the church and was also an active participant of Juanita Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Betty was a former member of the Wally Gordon Community Singers, the Abington Women's Club and the Red Hat Society. She was a volunteer for Meals of Wheels and the American Cancer Society.Surviving are a son, Ron Kellam and wife, Barbara (Sorg), and their children, Kristine Kellam Jernstedt (Tom), Scott Kellam (Kathleen) and Michael Kellam (Jaime); her late daughter's children, Patricia Lacey Swarts, Kelly Lacey Gauntlett (Tom), David Lacy (Terri) and Beth Lacey Casciaro (Tom); great-grandchildren, Justin Swarts, Megan and Sean Corcoran Gauntlett, Kaitlyn and T.J. Lacey, Lauren and Ryan Casciaro, Cole Jernstedt, Nick, Sam and Mia Kellam, Saylor and Sidney Kellam. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lacey; and a son-in-law, Thomas J. Lacey.The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Doug Sivers, pastor. Entombment, Glenwood Mausoleum, South Abington Twp.The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit, PA 18411; or Hospice Advantage, 700 S.
