Dorothy L. Bamford

Dorothy L. Bamford, 85, of South Abington Township, died on Saturday in Allied Services Hospice Center. She was the wife of Robert Bamford to whom she was married for 61 years. 

Born November 6, 1938, in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Felicia (Goczkowski) Chuck, Sr.

Education, Employment, Memberships and affiliations Dorothy graduated from Kearny High School and worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Snows Parish. 

Past times and Enjoyments Dorothy enjoyed crafting, sewing, and knitting, often making blankets for newborns and gifts for loved ones. She consistently volunteered her time as an election poll worker. Above all, Dorothy adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family.

 In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her children, Robert K. Bamford, Casey (William) Hodakowski, and Sean (Rebecca) Bamford, as well as her grandchildren Sara, Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, Zachary, and Colin. She is also survived by numerous siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dorothy’s loving and energetic spirit will be greatly missed.

 A private cremation will take place at Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Clarks Summit, and a memorial service will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Dorothy's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
