Dolores White

Dolores Gloria Mare White, 84, of Scott Twp., died Saturday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Her husband, Stewart Austin White, died Feb. 5. The couple had been married more than 36 years.Born Aug. 25, 1931, in Queens, N.Y., daughter of Joseph and Carmella Panara Mare, Dolores lived in Queens, where she graduated from William Cullen Bryant High School in 1949. She moved to Mountaintop more than 50 years ago. She worked as a secretary for Joy Global Inc. for 21 years until her retirement in the 1980s.A devoted wife, she was a loving mother. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer.Surviving are her four children, Fredrick Hallock, Key West, Fla.; Patricia Mraczkowski, Nanticoke; Joseph Hallock and wife, Janice Bergin, Rehoboth Beach, Del.; and Daniel Hallock and wife, Linda, Lansdale; a sister, Theresa Jensen, New Jersey; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. from the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit. Interment, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
