David Robert Toth, 56, South Abington Twp., died Monday in Geisinger Community Medical Center. He was the husband of the former Darla Hewlett. The couple was married May 2, 1981.Born Dec. 18, 1957, in Scranton, son Dorothy (Lavriha) Toth, South Abington Twp., and the late Stephen J. Toth, he was a 1976 graduate of Abington Heights High School. He was employed by Bostik Findley Inc., formerly Findley Adhesive, South Abington Industrial Park for more than 33 years, where he was plant manager and more recently served as site manager. He was a member of the Church of St. Gregory, Clarks Green.He was a loving, gentle man as a result of the devoted love he shared with his mother. Many happy moments were enjoyed with his wife, especially dancing the polka and swing. He especially enjoyed fishing and laughter with his son and their pets. An avid outdoorsman and gardener, he enjoyed sharing vegetables with others. He collected cookbooks, and made new recipes for all to enjoy. He enjoyed life to the fullest.Also surviving are a son, Brandon David Toth, at home; two brothers, Stephen Jr. and wife, Kelly, Clarks Green; and Gary and wife, Christine, South Abington Twp.; a sister, Mary Jo Yurkovic and husband, Michael, Dickson City; nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday from the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. to be celebrated by the Rev. John M. Lapera, pastor. Interment, Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly Twp.The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.Memorial contributions may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411, or Church of St. Gregory, 330 N.
