Cecilia (Tradardi) Alfano, 90, of Clarks Summit, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday at home. Her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Victor J. Alfano, died March 28, 2014.
Born Jan. 31, 1928 in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Adone and Emilia Tradardi. Cecilia graduated from Scranton Technical High School in 1946 and worked as a seamstress for the WB Foundations Co., Scranton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always loved having her family around her. She was a sweet and caring person with an enormous heart for all who knew her. She believed strongly in her faith and the wisdom of God. Cecilia was an avid member of the Abington Senior Center.
Surviving are a son, David and wife, Maryann, Havertown; four daughters, Diane Nish and husband, William, Roaring Brook Twp.; Victoria Phillips and husband, Mark, Scranton; Claudia Nicholls and husband, William J., Clarks Green; and Claudette Fiorucci and husband, Charles, Palm Coast, Fla.; six grandchildren, Danielle Fisne and husband, Michael; Lauren Repholz and husband, Michael; Eric Fiorucci and wife, Rachel; and Matthew, Jeremy and Rachel Alfano; five great-grandchildren, Gianna, Jacob and Isabella Fisne, and Elijah and Hannah Fiorucci; a sister, Clara Ragnacci; nephews, Raymond and David; niece, Renee; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dominick Tradardi.
The funeral will be private with a family celebration of life. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
