Bernard F. Harding, Waverly, died Monday in Scranton.
Born Oct. 29, 1937, he was affectionately known as "Eppie" from the start. He was the son of Bernard F. and Margaret Reedy Harding. His wife of 60 years is Julie Coggins Harding.
He was a graduate of Scranton Preparatory, the University of Scranton and Navy Officer Candidate School as he proudly served his country. Bernie worked as a sales representative for companies: IBM, Satellite Business Systems and MCI. He served on the boards of the Abington Community Library, the YMCA and Volunteered for the Tiny Tim program at Our Lady of the Snows Church.
The family fondly remember the care given to Bernard by Dr. Hyzinski and his staff.
Eppie had a charming and fun-loving personality and we will miss him so much.
Also surviving are a sister, Karen Motsavage; a brother, Michael (Nancy); many nieces and nephews; a special niece, Mara Gavin; and loving in-laws.
Bernard was preceded in death by infants, Patricia and Timothy; sisters, Mary Lou Burne, Joan Gavin; and a brother. David Harding.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, Pa., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Michael J. Boris. Interment will be at a later date in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
