Barbara Fellows Hahn Jones, 87, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday at VNA Hospice Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center after a short illness. Her husband of 34 years, James R. Jones Sr., died in 2006.Born Feb. 17, 1927, in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Alwilda Fellows Hahn, Barbara was a graduate of Scranton Central High School in 1944 and received an executive secretarial degree from Rider College, Trenton, N.J. She was a legal secretary for attorneys C.H. Wells and Mott Peck Sr. and later was a bookkeeper-secretary for E. F. McFarland Builders, Clarks Green.Barbara was a member of Church of the Epiphany, Glenburn, Young at Heart and Circle Club. An avid reader, Barbara especially enjoyed traveling with her family, having made several international trips with her husband, Jim. Her last adventure was a family celebration of the 100th birthday of her cousin, Tinka Zenke, of Dalton. Her frequent phone conversations with Tinka, Nancy and Irma will be sadly missed.Surviving are two stepsons, James R. Jones Jr. and wife, Judith, Clarks Green; and Craig L. Jones, Dalton; a stepdaughter, Carolee MacDonald and husband, Dennis, Clarks Summit; a stepgrandson, Chris MacDonald; and several cousins.She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia H. Manville and twin Betty F. Hahn; and a nephew, Jack Hennigan.Funeral services will be Saturday, at 11 a.m. in Church of the Epiphany, 25 Church Hill Road, Glenburn, by the Rev. F. Graham Cliff. Interment, Church of the Epiphany Memorial Garden, Glenburn.The family will receive relatives and friends, 10:30 a.m. until service time.
