Audrey Jean (Kazmierski) Lehnert 91 years, Clarks Summit, died Friday, at home. She was the widow of Frank A. Lehnert who died December 2, 1997.
Born February 11, 1932, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Emily (Minich) Kazmierski. A 1950 graduate of Scott High School. Was a hostess in the Scranton Dry Goods Fountain Tea Room before meeting her loving husband of 44 years.
Audrey was a faithful member of Our Lady of Snows Parish, Clarks Summit where she enjoyed attending the Women’s Guild events, volunteering at the Country Bazaar, and assisting with the counting of the weekly mass offerings. She kept busy supporting the many activities of her seven children. She was a lifetime baseball fan, enjoyed baking, completing daily crossword and Jumble puzzles, card games and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving are three sons: Joseph (Christina), Coopersburg; Frank (Linda) Clarks Summit; and Robert (Laura) Lehnert, Plains; three daughters: Andrea Gates (Richard), Rockville, MD; Susan Burke (Jerry), South Abington Township; and Carol Shallberg (David), Hudson, NH; daughter-in-law, Terri Ace-Lehnert, Lake Winola; two brothers: Bernard Kazmierski, Seminole, FL; and Daniel Kazmierski (Dolores), Scranton; sister, Alice Sokoloski (Edward), Scott Township; 15 grandchildren, Victoria and Dan Potter, Pittsburgh; Joanna and Tom Maguire, Hartsdale, NY; Michelle Gates, Takoma Park, MD; Ryan Gates, Rockville, MD; Frank Lehnert, Dickson City, Matthew Lehnert, Clarks Summit; Shane Ace, Lake Winola; Tony Lehnert, Lake Winola; Kelly and Matthew Serniak, Dupont; Jerry Burke, Harrisburg; Robert Lehnert, Plains and Katie Lehnert, Conshohocken; six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael R. Lehnert, and a sister, Marie Chibirka.
The Funeral will be Friday at Our Lady of the Snows, 301 South State Street, Clarks Summit, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am to be celebrated by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Scott Township. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Snows Parish Memorial Fund, 301 South State Street, Clarks Summit, PA 18411
