Anne M. (Gallagher) Fowser of Pennsville, NJ died June 24th at the Cape May Regional Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She is preceeded in death by her late husband, Donald who died on January 4, 2015, and her late sister Rosemary and late brother-in-law Jerry Carpenter.
Born in Scranton, Anne was the daughter of the late Con and Anne (Medallis) Gallagher. She graduated from Central High School and Mercy Hospital Nursing School, Scranton, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1957. She was a visiting nurse in Lackawanna County and after marrying, she was the first visiting nurse for Salem County, NJ. Later employment included Emergency Room Nurse at Salem County Memorial Hospital, Nurse to Chief of Surgery, Lester Silvester, M.D, and charge nurse for the Woodstown Friends Nursing Home.
She is survived by daughter: Christine Hassler and her husband William, Great Falls, VA; two grandchildren: Wills and Abigail; three brothers: Gene, Clarks Summit, Jack, Scranton, and Neil (Jeannette) Brunswick, ME.
A Memorial Service was held at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ and burial followed at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove, NJ.
