Ann Marie (Walsh) Quinn, 78, of Clarks Green, died on Thursday, at home surrounded by her loving family. She is the widow of the late Robert W. Quinn Jr., who died Nov. 24, 1995.
Born July 24, 1939, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Loughney) Walsh.
Ann graduated from St. Patrick's High School in West Scranton. She began her professional career at the Church of St. Gregory where she was also a charter parishioner. She also worked in human resources for Trane Company until they closed their doors. She and her husband, Robert, retired to Apollo Beach, Fla., where they owned a sandwich shop. The couple returned back to the area and Ann resumed her human resources career with local banks, most notably, Community Bank NA. Ann enjoyed refinishing furniture, painting and boating on Lake Wallenpaupack. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin (Dawn), Clarks Green; and Brian (Erin) Quinn, Mechanicsburg; one daughter, Kelly (Ted) Harzowski, Scranton; one brother, Joseph (Catherine) Walsh, Scranton; two sisters, Kathleen Hawley, Scranton; and Mary (Danny) Ricardo, Dunmore; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, James and John "Jack" Walsh.
The funeral will be Monday from the Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. to be celebrated by the Rev. John M. Lapera, pastor. Friends and relatives are asked to proceed directly to the church. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
